Job summary

O’Neil Digital Solutions, LLC is seeking a motivated Material Handler (Paper Shredder) for mid-shift to operate the baler and assist with internal material transport across the plant and warehouse. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in manufacturing or warehousing.

The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, operate pallet jacks ( forklift experience preferred), and comply with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate the baler following safety protocols and company policies.

• Weigh and record bales, maintain accurate records of recycled materials.
• Assist with internal transport of materials across the plant and warehouse.
• Work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Baler Operator, operates the baler machine for the proper disposal of all waste materials and recyclable paper products throughout the printing facility. In addition to full responsibility for the Baler, the Baler/Material Handler also assisst within the facility with the internal transport of materials throughout the plant floor and the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the baler in an efficient manner following all safety protocols
• Safely operate standard warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Separate recyclable materials from non-recyclables and separate different types of materials to maximize value of materials
• Weigh and record bales of product and keep accurate records of what is recycled
• Dispose of excess materials when directed by Shift Manager
• Help out in other departments, as needed
• Clean machine at the end of each day
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, along with a minimum of 1 year work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the experience working with pallet jacks required, experience with forklifts desired
• Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform the essential job duties. Work may be performed in an office, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment. Requires the ability to perform the following activities for the majority of the day: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb.In addition requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 40 pounds. May be exposed to noise and be required to wear hearing protection for the duration of the shift.
