Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to support warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for safely moving raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift and other material-handling equipment. The ideal candidate has strong forklift, shipping, inventory, and warehouse experience, preferably within the metals industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize RF scanners to ensure accurate order and material traceability.
• Stand and work on feet for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Operate overhead cranes to sort, stage, and move material safely.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail while following work instructions and procedures.
• Read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations to support daily operations.
• Perform housekeeping and general cleanup tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
• Secure loads for safe transport in trailers.
• Load and unload trucks while verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Support operational needs and complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.

Qualifications

• 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably within the metals industry.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Previous shipping experience.
• Strong and dependable attendance history.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and regularly bend, twist, squat, reach, and grasp.
• Preferred: Experience using handheld measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills, including database and Microsoft Office programs.
