Job summary

Fencing Supply Group in Taunton, MA is seeking a Material Handler to support loading, receiving, and moving material at our branch. This role involves working outdoors in varying weather and operating equipment as needed.

The position offers daytime hours and a pay rate of $26-$30 per hour depending on experience, with opportunities to contribute to a busy warehouse team while maintaining safety and efficiency in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Able to read and write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials and trucks.
• Receive, inspect, and move material.
• Operate forklift when needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Assist with job prepping and moving material.
• Provide excellent customer service as part of the team.
• Complete work orders accurately and on time.

Description

The primary responsibility of a Material Handler is to perform an array of functions, including but not limited to job prepping, loading, receiving, and moving material.

Schedule

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7 AM-3:30 PM

Pay

Pay: $26-$30 an hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Some welding, job prepping, drill press, chop saw
• Loads trucks for outgoing shipments
• Unloads the receiving of inbound product
• Outside work environment
• Complete all work orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Rotates product and safely moves product using a forklift (when needed)
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work with the team to ensure branch success and provide excellent customer service.
• Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

• Education - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Experience in a warehouse/yard position Forklift experience is a plus
• Experience with building materials a plus
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Ability to read and write and perform essential math functions
