Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operation and be responsible for moving, scanning, and organizing raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory flow and timely support to production and shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials within the facility.
Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and production areas.
Scan products and materials using handheld or mounted barcode/RFID scanners to track inventory movement.
Organize materials in designated warehouse locations based on product type, color, GSM, and date codes.
Help maintain accurate inventory records by following proper handling and storage procedures.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues or safety concerns.
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits as required.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Responsible for helping with trash cleanup and warehouse organization.
Required: 1+ years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
Familiarity with warehouse scanning systems (RFID or barcode scanners).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work as a team.
Ability to speak with the opposite shift upon arrival to discuss shift plan and organization .
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems are a plus.
Experience organizing and storing plastic rolls, raw materials, or manufacturing components.
Knowledge of warehouse layout and product rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
