Job summary

Responsibilities

• Move material through the facility using material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane) as needed.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure with strapping, bracing, or padding.
• Use computer systems to dispense and receive information (part numbers, quantities, locations, comments).
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Attach labels to materials and document information on cases or containers.
• Complete paperwork to document work performed.
• Conduct material audits.

I. Job Summary

Material Handlers move recyclable material through the facility, conducts material grading and evaluates for sale destination.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, hoist, crane) as required.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Uses the computer to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Completes paperwork to properly document work performed.
• Conducts material audits.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• No experience Zero (0) to four (4) years previous experience (in addition to education requirements)
