Waste Management (WM) in Detroit is seeking a conveyor Sorter to accurately place and sort materials on the line. Shifts include 2nd shift from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm with occasional Saturdays, and 1st shift from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm with occasional Saturdays. This safety-sensitive role provides on-the-job training and growth opportunities.

The Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting materials on the conveyor line by performing the following duties.
Field: This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.
This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing-including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing-in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
