Job summary

Avery Dennison in Mount Juliet, TN, is seeking a Material Handler to move materials, inspect and wrap products, and log inventory accurately. The role supports production, packaging, and shipping, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include operating lift trucks, conducting cycle counts, and assisting with shipping coordination. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus lifting 50 lbs, are required; overtime and cross-training may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing/warehouse experience.
• Ability to obtain a Lift Truck Operator license and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High attention to detail and computer literacy for inventory tracking software.
• Safety-first mindset and adaptability.
• Willingness to work overtime and cross-train as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely Transport Material: Operate lift trucks and equipment to move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods between production, warehouse, and shipping areas.
• Quality & Packaging: Weigh, inspect, label, and wrap finished products to meet customer standards and quality specifications.
• Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, resolve digital vs. physical stock discrepancies, and log inventory transactions in our tracking system.
• Operational Support: Supply departments with packaging materials, support core cutting, assist with 5S housekeeping, and serve as backup for shipping coordination.
• Collaborate & Adapt: Coordinate with shift team members to hit daily production targets and support site-wide safety standards.
