Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation in Mentor, Ohio is seeking a Material Handler to move materials throughout the site, load/unload trailers, and ensure accurate inventory. This role supports inventory checks and maintains a safe, organized work environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent manufacturing experience), strong safety awareness, and the ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 3+ years of manufacturing work experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Safety is a core value and required for all tasks.
• Strong service and quality focus with problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Willingness to cross-train and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move materials between raw, WIP, finished goods, and shipping/receiving areas.
• Unload/load trucks and verify materials against documents.
• Record material movements in the Inventory Management System.
• Support cycle counts and improve inventory accuracy.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping and safe work areas.
• Lead recycling of pallets and scrap materials and participate in 5S activities.
• Communicate information to other shifts to ensure smooth operations.
