Job summary

OBE is seeking a Material Handler I to move materials such as glass and metal within the plant, aiding expedited product flow. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliability in daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has prior production experience, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and can stand for long shifts on concrete floors while maintaining attention to detail. A strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Prior experience in production/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand and move for 8–10 hours on a concrete floor.
• Tolerance for moderate to high noise levels.
• Experience in plant facilities with similar climate conditions.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of product from tables, racks, trucks, or crates.
• Perform work as assigned by Supervisor.
• Attach labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic measurements using a tape measure.
• Adhere to internal/external quality standards.
