Qualifications

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Issuing, Returning, and Salvaging processes for seven departments.
  • Material movements throughout the plant (e.g., scraps and packaging).
  • Preparing pallets to ship out and for storage.
  • Managing and preparing items for recycling.
  • Conducting Cycle Counts and self-audits.
  • Loading/unloading deliveries and forklift operations.
  • Maintain supplies for all departments.

Company: Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. Job Description: Material Handler Location: Mesa, AZ Salary: Starts at $23.00 hr. Job Summary The Material Handler provides day-to-day support to logistics and production operations by ensuring materials, supplies, and finished goods are moved, stored, and prepared efficiently throughout the facility. This role is responsible for supporting inventory accuracy, material flow, shipping and receiving activities, recycling processes, and maintaining adequate packaging supplies for production departments. The Material Handler operates forklifts and company vehicles, assists with loading and unloading deliveries, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and works well as part of a team while demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and the company’s KAITEKI values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Issuing, Returning, and Salvaging processes for seven departments.
  • Responsible for material movements throughout the plant, this includes but not only limited to; dreher chips, planer fluff, wood saw cutoffs, scrap cages to the shredder and filling/emptying the cardboard baler.
  • Preparing pallets to ship out and for storage.
  • Managing and preparing items for recycling.
  • Conducting Cycle Counts, making sure inventory is accurate.
  • Completing self-audits.
  • Duties will include loading and unloading of deliveries, forklift operations, delivery to and from warehouse and surrounding areas in company vehicles.
  • Maintain adequate supply of skids, cardboard and packaging supplies for all departments.
  • Be aware when equipment requires maintenance and notify proper personnel.
  • Follow all safety instructions for operating equipment.
  • Perform general housekeeping/clean up tasks as needed.
  • Perform all functions with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and responsibility.
  • Complete any other task as directed.

Pay Transparency

The hourly rate for this position starts at $23.00. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
