Job summary

Coilplus, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support our production flow by transporting, loading and unloading steel coils and maintaining accurate paperwork. You will operate forklifts and cranes, assist in packaging, and help manage scrap while keeping work areas clean and safe.

The role requires basic reading/writing in English, good math skills, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced warehouse. A high school diploma and crane/forklift certifications are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

A Material Handler regularly performs routine to moderately advanced production activities to maintain the flow of work under limited supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Transport, load, unload, and store steel coils in appropriate locations using various equipment (Forklift, Crane, etc.).
• Inspect and assist in packaging coils as needed and manage scrap.
• Completes required paperwork/system input for each product.
• Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals); ability to read a tape measure.
• Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
• High School or equivalent. Crane and Forklift certification required.

Experience & Education:

• High school or equivalent
• Forklift and Crane Operator certification required.
• Prior metals experience preferred.
