Job summary

Reily Foods Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Knoxville Plant to operate forklift equipment, handle inbound materials, and maintain accurate inventory records. This is a full-time, on-site role on the 2nd shift in Knoxville, TN, requiring 2+ years of forklift or warehouse experience and basic math skills.

You will follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, perform routine safety checks, and contribute to a clean, efficient warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years forklift and/or warehouse experience.
• Basic math and inventory / cycle counting skills.
• Reading and following instructions with accuracy.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to receive, handle, and store product per HACCP and GMP.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and report discrepancies.
• Use scanning system to create locations and record inventory transactions.
• Inspect inbound materials for damages and report issues.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and inventory of receiving area.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.

Our products consist of New England Coffee, French Market Coffee, Luzianne Iced Tea, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, Swans Down Cake Flour, Tiger Sauce, and Carroll Shelby Chili (to name a few) and can be found in foodservice and retail locations around the country.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to receive, handle, and store product in accordance with HACCP and GMP standards
• Perform vehicle safety checks and report discrepancies to supervisor
• Ensure all equipment is stored at the end of shift
• Utilize the scanning system to create accurate locations and perform accurate inventory transactions
• Inspect inbound materials and products for damages, defects, and discrepancies; promptly report any issues to Quality and Leadership
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and inventory of receiving area
• Learn and maintain customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
• Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
• Perform minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping pallet, warehouse and workstation areas neat, clean up aisles, pick up leftover pallets, sweep the floors and keep exits clear and free from obstructions
• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
• Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
• Support and comply with GMP’s; understand and follow emergency action plan
• Support food safety, quality, and legality
• Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of forklift and/or warehouse experience
• Technical skills include the basic ability to use a scan gun, forklift certified, basic math and inventory / cycle counting skills
• Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
• Leadership skills include a positive attitude, being a team player and self-leadership
