Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Working under minimal supervision, this role acts as the lead in the absence of the Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring accuracy in SAP at all times. Following department procedures, the employee should be able to perform at least three of the following jobs: RTS (Return to Stock), stockroom, cycle counts, WIP support, shipping, receiving inspection, or receiving. The role involves reconciling inventory variances and making adjustments accordingly. The employee reports line record accuracy to the Supervisor and Manager. Occasionally, they will act as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management, and the Production line regarding inventory or shortages.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Stockroom / RTS:
  • Put material away in the stockrooms using RF scanners in SAP and verify the associated transaction on the system.
  • Pull kits and split them as required using the system-based kit pull procedure.
  • Scan kits to the G drive and pull shortages to ensure they are complete.
  • Count all the material returning from the line to ensure system accuracy.
  • Maintain organized box build areas and ensure all Kanbans are full of material.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Other related duties include:
  • Physical and system movement of material within Operations.
  • Cycle counting of any area.
  • Complete material disposition report forms.
  • Accurately backflush material in the ERP system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Receiving:
  • Follow the receiving procedure outlined in ISO documents.
  • Validate carton count against bill of lading on all deliveries, match packing to each lot, and note exceptions.
  • Sign for all material delivered to the receiving dock after validation.
  • Validate purchase order, part number, quantity, and supplier, and complete the receipt in the system.
  • Perform de-trash shipments as needed to eliminate trash in the stockroom or on the production line.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Receiving Inspection:
  • Follow the inspection procedure outlined in ISO documents.
  • Read and follow inspection plans and special instructions for incoming material.
  • Verify packing slip, receipt, and inventory quantities before passing inspection.
  • Perform SAP transactions to move material to the floor or other locations as required.
  • Perform inventory adjustments (direct withdrawal).
  • Obtain and maintain Quality Control Inspection certification based on IPC’s Standard-A-610.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Shipping:
  • Follow the shipping procedures outlined in ISO documents.
  • Understand shipping procedures and documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Manage transportation carriers using Jabil or customer carriers, as required.
  • Perform physical movements, system transactions, and verifications accurately and safely.

Supports work cells during month-end shipments, which may require extra hours. Operates material handling equipment as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Requirements:
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency with personal computers, Windows OS, and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including familiarity with Jabil’s software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and understand visual aids.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and deal with standard situations.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure.
  • Ability to interpret graphs and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
