Job Description
To prepare all packaging materials for the process of packaging spray dried final products following applicable SOP's and GMP's.
Working Relationships: This position will have regular communication with other Process Flex Operators, Process Specialist, and Process Specialist in Training
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and maintain all packaging processes, weights, labels, and batch record information.
- Fill out work order request forms from packaging process equipment when in need of repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment.
- Staging of all packaging ingredients
- Following Proper SOP's and GMP's
- Preparation of all packaging for spray drying final product by following directions issued Batch Records, or by direction from the Team Coach
- Major and Minor Cleaning of packaging, dryer, and Wet Side Equipment. Record all cleaning and sanitizing on the appropriate documentation
- Monitoring and maintaining chemical concentration in CIP tanks as required and record concentrations on appropriate cleaning paperwork
- Perform duties in a manner that will not compromise the Safety/Quality/Integrity/Security of raw materials, packaging components, finished product, and equipment
- Alert the Team Coach/Team Lead of any incident that may impact the Safety/Quality/Integrity/Security of raw materials, packaging components, and finished product.
- Empowered to act within the scope of their responsibilities to resolve the impact of these issues immediately.
- Report suspicious activity or unusual observations to Management
- Monitor and maintain chemical concentrations when cleaning as required. Record concentrations on appropriate cleaning paperwork.
- Follow proper SOP's, cGMPs, HAACP, Food Safety, Food Defense, Allergen, Food Safety Culture, and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

Quality Control Requirements- Appreciation for cleanliness and sanitation, keeping work area clean and organized.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.
- Maintain and enforce all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear appropriate apparel for the job.
Safety Requirements- Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.
- Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs not your back.
- Pivot with your feet avoiding twisting at the waist.
- Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.
- Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for.
Education/Certifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent
