Job summary

DASI, LLC., based in Miami, FL, seeks a reliable Material Handler to support receipt, storage, cycle counts, and outbound shipments in our warehouse. You will use scanning equipment and forklift tools, following OSHA and company procedures to ensure accuracy and safety.

Requirements include 6–12 months warehousing experience, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and teamwork in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and inventory cycle count products.
• Prepare shipments and verify quantities at pick locations.
• Unload, put-away, sort, label, pick, pack and replenish inventory.
• Audit stock discrepancies and report variances to Inventory Manager.
• Follow policies, OSHA and hazardous materials requirements in handling products.

Headquartered in Miami, Florida, with service centers in London and Singapore, DASI is a truly global partner, serving customers’ parts and inventory needs in more than 140 countries.DASI is embracing the potential of online sales and their digital marketplace, which has been growing exponentially and has tremendous potential with the right technology team in place to support and take it to the next level.Purpose:At DASI, the role of the Material Handler is to fulfil distribution and Inventory Cycle count function performed within the warehouse necessary to service the customer.Key accountabilities:Perform tasks associated with the receipt, storage, inventory cycle count and shipment of product, while meeting productivity, quality, safety, business conduct and attendance expectations.Effectively and efficiently use established procedures, tools, equipment, and technologies to complete transactions related to inbound and outbound processes with a distribution center.Safely perform assigned warehouse functions utilizing established processes, procedures and tools, while meeting performance expectations for productivity, quality, safety and attendance.Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, put-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, cycle count, auditing, shipping, making boxes, etc.Verification of inventory quantities and condition at pick locations or stock locations within the warehouse.Count and account for shortages, mis-picks and credits.Research inventory variances as part of the Cycle Count Audit Program.Report inventory discrepancies of his/her findings or any inventory related variance to the Inventory Manager.Comply with policies, guidelines and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements in the storage, handling and movement of product.Perform necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.Actively participate in process improvements by utilizing the DASI quality system.Perform all other duties as assigned.Key skills and competences:Can tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust and work around moving equipment.Can meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance requirements, including overtime as required.Must be self-motivated.Demonstrates pride in own work.Can continuously lift up to 75 pounds and be able to operate warehouse vehicles and material handling equipment.Can operate computerized scanning equipment.Can work in a team environment.Experience and qualifications:Must have a minimum of 6-12 months warehouse or related experience.Forklift experience.DASI, LLC. and group companies are an Equal Opportunities Employer
