Job summary

SSP in Twinsburg, Ohio, a leading supplier of fittings, valves and tubing, is seeking a production materials associate. You will supply raw materials to work centers, set up equipment, and handle material flow while maintaining accurate inventory.

The role emphasizes lean methods and on-time material delivery. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ year manufacturing experience (metalworking preferred), plus forklift certification and the ability to lift 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Technical School classes preferred.
• 1+ year in manufacturing, preferably metal working.
• 2+ years forklift operations and material handling experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide production work centers with raw material based on schedule.
• Set up and operate materials department equipment to cut and prep materials.
• Receive raw material from vendors and record required data.
• Mark and issue bar stock to departments; operate saws and related equipment.
• Maintain raw material inventory per schedule and Kanban requirements.
• Load/unload trucks and move material around the site.
• Apply Lean/Continuous Improvement methods to daily work.
