Liberty Pumps in Town of Bergen, NY, is seeking a Material Handler to deliver materials to assembly lines and the machine shop. You will unload incoming freight, store raw materials, and move items using a forklift or pallet jack. This role requires teamwork and the ability to follow safety and ISO 9001 procedures.

The position involves lifting up to 40 pounds, basic computer use, and working in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment. Prior manufacturing and forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Reads and comprehends simple instructions and memos.
• Writes simple correspondence and reports.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic with weight, volume, and distance.

Responsabilités

• Stock assembly lines on a regular schedule and on short notice.
• Maintain accurate storage location records.
• Unload, verify, label, and store incoming freight as directed.
• Distribute non-inventory materials as directed.
• Determine proper storage locations for all inventory.
• Report defective materials to Quality per the reject process.
• Maintain 6S standards in the work area.
• Coordinate with Purchasing on paperwork, hot sheets, and receiving instructions.
• Operate a tugger tow vehicle and a forklift as needed.
• Complete tasks per manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
• Participate in team meetings and projects.
• Follow ISO 9001 requirements and safety guidelines.
