Job summary

J&L Building Materials Inc. seeks a dedicated Material Handler at our Norristown branch to provide onsite customer service and accurate load preparation for deliveries. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and precision in processing orders and stocking materials.

Key duties include loading/unloading with a forklift, organizing materials, completing required paperwork, and supporting inventories. Must be able to lift 100 lb and work 40 hours weekly, with Saturday shifts after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer satisfaction and service.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and load onto vehicles.
• Operate forklift and perform pre-operational checks on tanks.
• Sort materials by size, type, color or code and store securely.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain safe, efficient warehouse operations and handling.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Be on time for 40 hours per week and available for Saturday shifts after training.
