Job summary

nVent is seeking a hands-on production associate to coordinate material flow, operate site equipment, and train team members. You will apply Lean principles, participate in Kaizen events, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This on-site role emphasizes reliability, safety compliance, and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to cost and waste reduction while supporting a dynamic, global organization and its diverse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lead experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of production work experience preferred.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with JD Edwards and Internet.
• Knowledge of material flow processes and safety policies.
• Reliable, punctual attendance to achieve high productivity.
• Ability to train operators on standard work and work instructions.
• Adaptable to rapid business changes and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of material into, within, and out to manufacturing.
• Operate equipment such as CRTs and forklifts.
• Coordinate and execute employee training to meet quality requirements.
• Respond professionally to internal customer concerns.
• Participate in Kaizen events using Lean principles.
• Drive waste reduction and continuous improvement with the team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
