Job Details

Job Location: Houston, TX 77041The Lamination Material Handler position is responsible for the efficient movement and storage of raw materials used in the lamination process, ensuring accurate inventory control, quality standards and safety protocols.

DESCRIPTION

• Ensures compliance regarding Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities.
• Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition identified in the workplace.
• Accurately store and organize the movement of materials, rolls, and PVC cores efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of PVC cords.
• Properly disposing of scrap materials and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Adapts to changing priorities and workloads as needed.
• Responsible for plant sanitation and monitoring action plans to maintain sound GMP’s and orderly housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

• Must have general knowledge of packaging equipment principles and provide basic maintenance.
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant equipment policies and procedures.
• Must be knowledgeable of GMPs and HACCP.
• Ability to use different authorized solvents.
• Ability to read and analyze information.
• Excellent time management.
• Be able to read and write (Spanish or English).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Preferred experience in manufacturing, preferably in flexible plastic packaging.
• Previous experience operating pallet jack a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
• Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, carrying, going up and down ladders/steps.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to interpret instructions effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Need to have own transportation to visit more than one facility during the day.
