Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot bag-making machines, performing adjustments as needed.
  • Immediately report any incident and unsafe condition to supervisor.
  • Clear machine jams and report issues to the Process Lead.
  • Supply raw materials to the machine and maintain uninterrupted production flow.
  • Scan and label finished product boxes accurately.
  • Maintain clear records of work-in-progress during shift changes.
  • Follow inspection, production, and operational procedures as per work instructions.
  • Complete production and inspection reports with precision.
  • Monitor KPIs for compliance.
  • Conduct quality checks and identify products not meeting standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform tasks with urgency, accuracy, and safety.
  • Adhere to safety rules and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041The Pinch Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure the production of high-quality products. This role involves troubleshooting, adhering to production schedules, conducting quality checks, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

DESCRIPTION
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot complex bag-making machines, performing adjustments as needed.
  • Immediately report to supervisor any incident and unsafe condition.
  • Clear machine jams and promptly report issues to the Process Lead.
  • Supply raw materials to the machine and ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Scan and label finished product boxes accurately.
  • Maintain clear and thorough records of work-in-progress during shift changes.
  • Follow inspection, production, and operational procedures in accordance with work instructions.
  • Complete production and inspection reports with precision and attention to detail.
  • Monitor and adhere to key performance indicators (KPIs) for compliance.
  • Conduct quality checks and identify products that do not meet quality standards or customer specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform tasks with urgency, accuracy, and a commitment to safety.
  • Adhere to housekeeping standards and all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Competence in operating basic tools and measuring devices (e.g., tape measure, scale).
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to interpret instructions effectively.
  • Ability of repetitive reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and carrying for extended periods. Going up and down ladders/steps.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
