Job summary

Alexander Dennis is seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our Las Vegas manufacturing facility to ensure the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials, with a focus on kitting and delivering to the production line.

Onsite work, 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime on Friday and Saturday. Join a team producing double-deck buses for North America and be part of cutting-edge transit solutions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in material handling or warehousing.
  • Experience operating forklifts and cherry pickers in manufacturing/warehouse settings.
  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure specifications.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and proper storage of materials.
  • Coordinate with production teams to understand material needs and schedules.
  • Select and prepare materials for production processes efficiently and safely.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of materials and products.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and assist with stock replenishment.

POSITION SUMMARY:Weare looking for a dedicatedMaterial Handlerto join our team, ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our manufacturing facility, with a primary focus on kitting and delivering materials to the production line.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Coordinate with production teams to understand material needs and schedules.

  • Assistin the loading and unloading of materials and products as needed.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits andassistwith stock replenishment efforts
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all handling and storage practices.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proven experience ina materialhandling or warehouserole.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and cherry pickers, in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software such as ERP/WMS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Must be certified or become certified to use forklift equipment
Physical & Workplace Requirements:
  • Ability tolift upto 50 lbs. regularly (75 lbs. withassistance), perform repetitive movements (bending, kneeling, crouching), and work on elevated surfaces or in confined spaces.
  • Mustbe able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Requires visual acuity to read diagnostics and inspect components, as well as sufficient hearing ability to detect vehicle noises and alarms.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including noise, dust, fumes, and fluctuations in temperature, while wearing PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and relevant HV PPE).
  • Strong safety awareness and strict adherence to workplace procedures.
