Job summary

JOST International, a global leader in transportation solutions, seeks a Material Handler at our Greenville, SC facility to support production by moving and packaging materials and assisting with inventory control. You will operate a forklift and possibly an overhead crane, follow instructions, perform counts, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and quality in every task.

You will contribute to efficient material flow, support cycle counts, and uphold housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions.
• Experience in material handling preferred.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve information for work orders via a computer terminal.
• Work from oral or written instructions and follow routines.
• Count, weigh, record, and maintain handling records.
• Locate material to be moved.
• Check parts for identification and description against instructions.
• Pick parts in containers for movement as directed.
• May use power tools to package/unpackage items.
• Maintain inventory records and support cycle counts.
• Expedite rush orders and support inventory control.
• Operate a fork truck to move and place materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
