Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems seeks a Material Handler in Grand Rapids to receive and move materials, prep shipments, and support inventory accuracy. You will perform transactions in the inventory system, load/unload freight, and assist in cycle counts while upholding safety and quality standards.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years in material handling, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a forklift license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver license and be able to obtain forklift license.
• 2+ years experience as a material handler is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform basic math.
• Experience in manufacturing is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming material from vendors and move to production.
• Package finished goods for shipment in a timely manner.
• Perform inventory control tasks including cycle counting and physical inventories.
• Load and unload freight and handle related transactions.
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas and support team goals.
