Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is hiring Material Handlers to support manufacturing operations at our Newburyport, Massachusetts facility, with coverage also at Rowley as needed. This 18-month contract role focuses on accurate transfer of parts and materials, inventory control, and expediting shortages to keep production moving.

You will work 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, lifting up to 35 pounds and using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience loading and unloading materials, supplies, or equipment.
• Warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, hand trucks, skids, or similar material handling equipment.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Basic computer and inventory tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, move, and control materials throughout company facilities.
• Ensure accurate transfer of parts and materials in and out of stockrooms.
• Verify inventory levels and maintain stock balances.
• Monitor and communicate material shortages.
• Locate, expedite, and deliver critical materials to support manufacturing operations.
• Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Utilize material handling equipment including pallet handlers, skids, and hand trucks.
• Work closely with manufacturing, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams regarding material availability and status.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
