Job summary

BlueScope Buildings is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support receiving, staging, and moving materials within our plant and yard. You’ll operate forklifts, cranes, and related equipment in a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented environment.

Standard hours are Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime during peak seasons. Starting pay is $23.51 per hour, with training and growth opportunities, competitive benefits, and a culture that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Keen eye for detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Enjoy hands-on roles and working with machinery or are eager to learn.
• Comfortable working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
• Transport materials from storage/production areas and place in designated areas.
• Safely use lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts, to position materials.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
• Keep track of material inventory and support housekeeping and organizational standards (5‑S).
