Job Summary

Working under minimal supervision, the Material Handler III will act as the lead in the absence of the Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring accuracy in SAP at all times. Following department procedures, must be able to perform at least 3 of the following jobs: RTS (Return to Stock), stockroom, cycle counts, WIP support, shipping, receiving inspection, or receiving. Reconcile inventory variances and adjust accordingly. Report line record accuracy to Supervisor and Manager. Occasionally, will act as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management, and the Production line for issues related to inventory or shortages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Stockroom / RTS: Put material away in the stockrooms using RF scanners in SAP, verify transactions, pull kits, split them as required, scan kits to G drive, pull shortages, count all material returning from the line, maintain organized box build areas, and ensure kanbans are full.
  • Other duties: Physical and system movement of material within operations, cycle counting, completing material disposition reports, accurately backflushing material in ERP, and performing other assigned duties.
  • Receiving: Follow ISO procedures, validate carton counts, sign for delivered materials, validate purchase orders, perform de-trash shipments, and perform other assigned duties.
  • Receiving Inspection: Follow inspection plans, verify packing slips and inventory, perform SAP transactions, inventory adjustments, obtain and maintain QC Inspection certification, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shipping: Follow ISO procedures, understand shipping documentation, schedule transportation, and perform physical movements and verifications.

Support work cells during month-end shipments, which may include extra hours. Operate material handling equipment as needed.
