Job summary

Schaeffler is hiring a Material Handler III for the Battery Plant on 3rd shift in Wooster, OH. You will execute loading/unloading, move materials, and handle internal transports while ensuring safety rules and PPE usage.

You will track goods in the IT system, prepare deliveries, and assist drivers. The role requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma, and at least one year of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Written and verbal English skills are required.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office proficiency are required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects regularly may be required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• At least one year of material handling experience is required.
• Experience with SAP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deconsolidate, re-pack, store, retrieve and execute internal transports.
• Pick, pack and label different goods (raw material, components, etc.).
• Track and overview products and transports in the IT system.
• Follow all safety and production rules and use PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading of goods and manage the respective documentation.
• Prepare deliveries of products and tours for drivers.
• Deliver raw materials and goods to designated location in the plants.
• Deconsolidate, re-pack, store, retrieve and execute internal transports.
• Pick, pack and label different goods e.g. raw material, components, semi-finished-products, finished products, trading goods etc.
• Track and overview products and transports in the IT system.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Basic computer knowledge and MS office skills
• Ability to regularly lift heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
• At least one year of material handling experience

Preferred:

• Multiple years of experience in logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with IT & SAP systems
• Ability to operate transportation machinery
