Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift Certification required.
• 2-4 years experience with computer and ERP/barcode software highly desired.
• 2-4 years experience in material distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform material handling tasks safely and accurately, adapting to workload priorities.
• Lead small teams to accomplish tasks with independent judgment.
• Train and coach team members on processes and performance improvement.
• Identify 5S improvements and drive implementation with the team.
• Create and manipulate Excel files for operational reporting and data analysis.
• Interface with internal and external departments to share data and coordinate activities.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory in ERP including Cycle Count module.
• Complete commercial invoices and SED documentation using export control information.
• Track freight and prepare bills of lading using carrier-related software.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and scales safely and effectively.
• Perform repetitive motion tasks, including twisting and bending.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform material handling tasks safely and accurately, adapting to workload priorities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Material Handler I and II responsibilities.
• Lead small teams to accomplish tasks effectively, exercising independent judgment.
• Train and coach team members on written processes and performance improvement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• Skilled in ERP systems for inventory management and complex form completion.
• Ability to prepare shipping documentation and track freight using carrier software.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Commitment to safety and operational efficiency in material handling activities.

Education, Certifications, Requirements

• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.).
• Forklift Certification as Required.
• 2-4-year experience related to the use of computer and ERP systems bar-coded software is highly desired.
• 2-4 years' experience in any type of material distribution environment is desired.
