Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Material Handler II to join our Albuquerque, NM site. This role supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material distribution to production lines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of orders.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of shipping/receiving experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to operate a forklift (certified). This is an on-site position supporting fast-paced rocket production environments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience in shipping and receiving.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials are received from vendors and delivered to inventory.
• Package finished goods according to specifications and ship promptly.
• Review receipts to confirm open purchase orders and quality of materials.
• Maintain inventory control and secure materials and goods.
• Ensure materials meet production schedules and marketing timelines.
• Develop and modify operational methods and procedures.
• Advise units to meet schedules and resolve problems.
• Perform shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution tasks.
• Unpack and check goods against packing lists or invoices.
• Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
• Lift heavy items and operate a forklift (once certified).
• Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for shipment.
• Examine, stock, and distribute materials on manufacturing lines.
• Prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Deliver material to end users as required
• Handle hazardous material per company procedures
