Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, seeks a Material Handler II - Putaway for the 2nd shift in Sunnyvale, TX. Responsibilities include operating sit-down forklifts, picking and putting away stock, and updating the WMS to ensure accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years distribution/warehouse experience; 6–12 months sit-down forklift, reach truck and order picker experience.
• Good oral and written communications, record keeping, listening, and measurement abilities; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks to transport products within the warehouse.
• Pick items and assemble customer orders on pallets and prepare for packing/shipping.
• Enter order data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy.
• Move products to packing/shipping areas and assist with receiving.
• Open crates, inspect product, and label accordingly.
• Putaway received goods into designated locations and update inventory.
• Wrap and pack products for shipment and label boxes with slips.

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport product from receiving department to stock shelves.

Shift:

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge:

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

• Picking
• Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas
• Receiving
• Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking
• Opens crates and inspects product
• Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures
• Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location
• Putaway
• Utilizespowered industrialequipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received
• Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves
• Ensures product is placed into accurate location
• SPC Check/Pack Checking
• Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping
• Labels boxes with packing slip
• Loads boxes into conveyor belt
• Verifies orders for accuracy

General

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures
• Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-downforklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
