Job summary

GXO Logistics in Hillsboro, AL is seeking a Material Handler II to support warehouse operations by moving materials, building packaging boxes and picking items. You’ll verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner to ensure accuracy.

Qualified candidates typically have 1 year in a warehouse, knowledge of WMS, and may have 2 years as a material handler. A High School Diploma or equivalent is expected. Weekend night shift is required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support operations by moving materials and inventory throughout the facility
• Construct packaging boxes and pick merchandise
• Verify orders, label products and utilize a handheld scanner

This job requires the ability to

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Sit, stand or walk for long periods of time
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)

It'd be great if you also have:

• 2 years of experience as a material handler
• Knowledge of SAP
• High School Diploma or equivalent
