Job summary

Alene Candles LLC is seeking a Material Handler II (Production) for the FIRST shift at our Milford, NH facility. The role involves moving and storing material, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory using a WMS system.

The position runs 5:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime during peak season. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid as $1,000 upfront and $1,000 after 90 days of service.

The Hours

The hours for this position are 5:00 am - 3:00 pm, although that can change slightly depending on the needs of the business. We work 10 hour shifts, Monday - Thursday.

During our busy season we anticipate there being some Overtime available. Busy season is happening now and we anticipate it running through October. The final two weeks of the year, we are shut down for the holidays and inventory. During this time we cannot guarantee full time hours for our employees.

The Pay

The Material Handler II (Production) position pays $18.50/hour.

In addition, we are offering a $2,000 sign on bonus, split into two payments. The first payment of $1,000 will be included in your first paycheck, and the final $1,000 payment will be paid in your first check after completing 90 days of service.

The Location

We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This position is onsite.

Additional Job Details

• Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner.
• Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks. Maintain daily logs.
• Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Use material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers and some powered packing equipment such as banders and stretch wrap machine.
• Use WMS system to keep inventory accurate.
• Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal.
• Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms, computer systems, or RF Scan Guns.
• Count items and audit pallets for inventory accuracy.
• Label individual cases as per labeling instructions.
• Build pallets per customer specs.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Education required:

Range of Experience:

• 1-4 years’ experience in logistical background
• Experience using a scanning gun
• Inventory Control experience

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of the products manufactured in the factory.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to understand quality control methods.
• Ability to use various machines and practical skills.
• Good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork.
• Able to follow and execute instructions.
• Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, and quick and alert.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, use hands to handle or touch, reach, talk, hear, and smell. The employee may be required to kneel, crouch, sit, climb, or balance. The employee may lift and/or move up to more than 50 pounds with assistance. Employees need to be able to stand for 8-10 hours. The employee needs to be able to do repetitive lifting motions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and aromas. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
