Job summary

Omega-Engineering-3 is seeking a Material Handler I to ensure accurate and safe movement and storage of parts in the Warehouse. You will handle incoming and outgoing materials using various methods of transactions and maintain 5-S cleanliness.

Responsibilities include checking material condition, looking up information in the system, operating lifting equipment, verifying inventory levels, and supporting the warehouse team as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work around equipment.
• Team player with ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Experience using hand trucks and counting parts by hand.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Checks physical condition of materials to be delivered or stocked.
• Operates a computer to look up information pertaining to the material, such as location and quantity.
• Operates various lifting and moving equipment to handle material.
• Verifies inventory levels and locations and notes any changes which need to be updated.
• Prioritizes work based on verbal and written communication.
• Maintains an acceptable level of production.
• Maintains assigned sections of Warehouse with focus on 5-S and cleanliness.
• Assists other members of the warehouse team when needed.
• Completes various other duties to assist department/facility needs.
• Practices good safety and housekeeping procedures and reports any safety concerns.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
