Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Material Handler II to move materials between cells and the central warehouse, check identifications, and perform inventory transactions in the G&W business system. The role requires safe operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, and PIT equipment, plus the ability to read Bills of Materials and maintain accurate inventory records.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in manufacturing or warehouse settings, intermediate computer skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely use pallet jacks, forklifts, stackers and other manual and powered moving equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret Bills of Material
• Must have intermediate level computer skills
• Has the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others to support the manufacturing processes
• Must be able to provide proof of previous forklift certification and demonstrate core competence with sit-down and stand-up PIT
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts or products and conduct bin maintenance as needed
• Unload incoming materials, check identification for quantities and part numbers, report shortages or damaged material
• Move materials between cells following routing, delivery tickets or orders
• Fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock and deliver to designated cells
• Operate hand truck and powered lift trucks to move materials and stack loaded pallets
• Accurately perform inventory transactions using the G&W business system and conduct cycle counts
