Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) seeks a Material Handler to load/unload materials and maintain accurate inventory in our South Chesterfield facility. The role supports distribution operations and timely material transfers within the warehouse.

The job requires a high school diploma and forklift experience; 2+ years of order-pulling in a warehouse are preferred. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years Forklift experience.
• 2+ years experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Consignment inventory, location to location moves, & inventory adjustments.
• Assists in the cycle counting process as requested.
• Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or within the facility.
• Responsible for the ongoing inventory accuracy of the facility. Notifies Inventory Control, Receiving Lead & Receiving Supervisor when material control issues are discovered.
• Works with Inventory Control & Lead(s) during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements.
• Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records.
• Participates in the continuous improvement of the distribution department.
• Other duties may be assigned.
