Job summary

Kershaw Equipment, located in Montgomery, AL, seeks a Material Handler to support production by pulling, stocking, loading, and delivering to workstations. This first shift position requires operating forklifts and other equipment to move materials efficiently and safely.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in material handling, familiarity with forklift/pallet jack and cranes, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Join a team supporting rail maintenance equipment and related industries.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of material handling experience.
• Experience operating forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment, dollies and/or cranes.
• High School Education, GED, or vocational/technical training.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, unload materials/parts and store in inventory.
• Familiarize self with different work areas to ensure prompt delivery and supply.
• Transport materials to/from assembly areas, machines, loading docks and other areas.
• Communicate and document incoming/outgoing processing clearly.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Deliver urgent items to production floor consistently, accurately.
