Job summary

Snap-on is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator at its Elkmont, Alabama plant. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

CT, reporting to the production supervisor. You will receive, store, and distribute materials, operate a forklift, and ensure accurate shipping entries while maintaining 6S and safety practices. Responsibilities include reading production schedules, moving items, assembling orders from stock, using the computer for data entry and shipping, and collaborating

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• AlabamaDriver’s license required.
• Proficient in basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Good communication skills and ability to read orders.
• Ability to use computer for data entry and shipping info.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Adherence to safety procedures and policies.
• Willingness to work on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products.
• Read production schedules, orders, and requisitions to determine items to move.
• Convey materials from receiving to production areas via hand, hand truck, or forklift.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and enter shipping information into the computer.
• Maintain 6S in the facility and perform floor cleaning tasks.
• Repair damaged tape and floor coatings; replace cleaning supplies as needed.
