Job summary

Johnson Controls in Largo, FL is seeking a Material Handler I to support the manufacturing process with a strong emphasis on inventory control. You will pull and stage jobs, deliver materials per the production schedule, and respond to requisitions where Kanban does not apply, prioritizing accuracy while upholding safety standards.

Under supervision, you will use ERP to perform material transactions and verify on-hand quantities by location, ensuring the Quarantine area is used appropriately.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; 6+ months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating documents.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory control with priority on accuracy.
• Access and use the ERP system for transactions and inquiries.
• Pull, stage, and deliver material per production schedule and pick tickets.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper PPE usage.
• Maintain organized storage with correct part numbers and locations.
