Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler III for a contract opportunity in Largo, FL. The role focuses on receiving, storage, and distribution of inventory in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include adhering to SOPs, maintaining quality records, performing cycle counts, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Requires 2–3 years of related experience and proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow work instructions is required.
Proficient computer skills required to enter data, navigate, and routinely toggle between various application systems.
Must have experience with Electronic Inventory Management Systems (MRP / ERP).
2-3 years related experience required.

Responsibilities

Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOP’s, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.
Maintains a mindset that all accidents can be prevented and work proactively to achieve zero harm in the workplace.
Follows defined Quality Management Systems, all applicable procedures, reviews maintenance records, and completes all documentation as required.
Controls and maintains the flow of material through the storeroom through production or distribution.
Receives incoming material into the facility in accordance with procedures.
Performs cycle counts.
Works with customer service, supply chain, receiving & inspection, and quality personnel to resolve issues as needed.
Works independently as a part of a team to achieve process yield results.
May train employees on an as needed basis.
May coordinate the daily activities of other material handlers.
May prepare customer orders for shipment.
May use and operate forklift equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
