Job summary

Hillman in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products. The role features a schedule of Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with overtime Monday through Saturday from 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM, and a pay rate of $16.25/hour.

Responsibilities include using a handheld RF scanner, unloading and stocking materials from Receiving, replenishing workstations, and moving products with pallet jacks or forklifts.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility.

Essential Job Functions *

• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
