Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in New York is seeking a Material Handler II to support receiving operations on the 2:00PM - 10:30PM shift. You will sample, unload and label raw materials, store them in racking systems and verify accurate ERP entries.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, 1+ year warehouse experience, and proficiency with Excel/Word. Forklifts experience and ability to handle hazardous materials are a plus. Competitive benefits and safety-focused culture apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of general warehouse experience.
• 1-2 years' experience working with computers and Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience with powered industrial trucks.
• Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming materials, including verifying counts, receiving material, labeling material and sampling material, making them available to use in production to serve our customers.
• Work with PIT equipment to ensure inventory is stored accurately and safely in racking systems.
• Using computer systems and handheld scanning devices to accurately ensure material is displayed correctly in our ERP system.
• Work with your team to make sure everyone has a magical experience every day.
