Job summary

RTX is seeking a Material Handler II for Onsite operations in Lenexa, KS. You will support production by delivering materials and maintaining inventory accuracy, with emphasis on safety and timely deliveries.

The role operates on the 1st shift (6:00am–2:30pm) and requires attention to detail, the ability to prioritize requests, and basic computer/WMS skills. Onsite environment with standard manufacturing conditions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/warehouse/material handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, components, packaging, and supplies from warehouse to production areas.
• Transfer incoming stock into warehouse bin locations.
• Monitor material requirements and respond to production requests.
• Verify material quantities, part numbers, and labels before delivering to production floor.
• Maintain accurate inventory movement and material transactions in systems/documentation.
• Return unused or excess materials to appropriate warehouse locations.
• Perform inventory counts and investigate material discrepancies.
• Keep staging areas and aisles organized and free of obstructions.
• Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or other equipment as authorized.
• Follow safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Communicate shortages, delays, or issues to supervisor/production personnel.
• Prioritize deliveries based on production schedules.
• Support continuous improvement of material flow and inventory accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Shift Details

This is for 1st shift. Monday through Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm.

What You Will Do

• Monitor material requirements and respond to requests from production personnel.

• Return unused or excess materials from production to the appropriate warehouse locations.
• Perform inventory counts and investigate material discrepancies as assigned.
• Keep material staging areas, aisles, and work areas organized and free of obstructions.
• Safely operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or other equipment as authorized.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and material-handling practices.
• Communicate material shortages, delays, damaged materials, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor or production personnel.
• Prioritize material deliveries based on production schedules and operational needs.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify materials and part numbers.
• Ability to prioritize multiple material requests and meet production deadlines.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and transport materials as required by the position.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus.
