Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator for its onsite team in Durham, NH. The role supports shipping/receiving, inventory control, and documentation, with shift options and requirements for standing long hours and lifting up to 35 lbs.

The successful candidate will have a HS diploma (or G.E.D.) and at least 1 year of related experience, with preferred exposure to UPS/FedEx software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software preferred.
  • Experience with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Epicor) beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships items; maintains inventory control.
  • Prepares shipping documents and paperwork; coordinates with customer websites as needed.
  • Uses ERP system and standard procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments.
  • Loads/unloads goods using assisted or powered equipment; operates fork truck and pallet jack.
  • Maintains clean and organized work area; communicates with internal teams and customers.

Security Clearance Type: None/Not Required Security Clearance Status: Not Required Reporting to the Production Control Supervisor, the Shipping Coordinator will be a crucial role performing both administrative and physical tasks in shipping and receiving. SHIFT HOURS: This is a first shift position. Shift time will be either 7am-3:30pm OR 8am-4:30pm. We will confirm the shift start and end time at time of offer.

What You Will Do
  • Works under supervision but can work unsupervised.
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work.
  • Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
  • Prepares shipping documents and all paper work that accompanies the shipment.
  • Including any paperwork needed from customer websites.
  • Uses ERP system.
  • Verifies all work and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
  • Uses a fork truck and pallet jack daily.
  • Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
  • Proficiently uses computer hardware/software.
  • Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment; records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
  • Oversees inventory and maintains customer property.
  • Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
  • Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
  • Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
  • May use company van to complete local deliveries as needed.
  • Must be able to stand 8+ hours for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • You Must Have Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • We Prefer Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software
  • Experience with an ERP system. (Examples: SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
