Job summary

G&W Electric in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Material Handler II to move materials between cells, departments and the central warehouse, verify part numbers, and perform inventory transactions in the business system.

You'll unload, move and store materials, operate pallet jacks and PIT equipment, conduct cycle counts, and support manufacturing processes while maintaining safety and clean workspace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move/unload and put away a variety of materials with a PIT Power Industrial Truck.
• Must be able to read and interpret Bills of Material.
• Must have intermediate level computer skills.
• Must provide proof of forklift certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Holds a High School diploma or GED.
• Has 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Has 3–5 years PIT or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Move materials between cells and the central warehouse.
• Unload incoming materials and report shortages or damaged items.
• Perform inventory transactions in the G&W Electric business system.
• Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate records.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, stackers, and other material handling equipment.
• Support production by delivering materials to designated cells.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and train others as needed.
