Job summary

Bruker Corporation in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a Material Handler to support inbound freight and keep production schedules on track for our analytical instruments. You will ensure accurate receiving, packing, and inventory controls while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review, pack, and prepare orders for shipment (boxes, pallets, crates).
• Operate packing equipment (Mini Pak'r, Sealed Air Molding Wheel, banding).
• Use pallet jack/dolly to load/unload materials.
• Process orders in standard courier systems (FedEx, UPS).
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and audits.
• Support internal/external audits as needed.
• Maintain data in inventory databases and records.

Responsibilities

• Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment, including boxes, pallets and crates
• Able to operate packing equipment - Mini Pak'r, Sealed Air Molding Wheel, banding equipment
• Ability to operate dolly/pallet jack to load and unload material
• Working Knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software e. Fedex, UPS
• Ability to monitor, and order shipping supplies
• Able to store sub-assemblies and raw materials in warehouse
• Able to pick orders and material for other departments according to pick list and material requisitions
• Ability to assist with daily cycle counting and inventory accuracy objectives
• Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits
• Ability to participate in internal and external audits as necessary
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Job requires frequent bending, stooping and kneeling

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Material Movement module is preferred
• Knowledge of export compliance regulations preferred
• Experience and understanding of warehouse operations, and is capable of applying knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
• Ability to follow daily standard work instructions, with minimal supervision, and general instructions on newly introduced assignments
• Minimum of 1-year related Warehouse experience required.
• Experience in fast pace technical manufacturing environment required
• Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for the majority of a scheduled shift.
• Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $18.00 per hr and $28.00 per hr provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
