What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Material Handler II who will be responsible for accurately and safely loading and unloading materials while maintaining the flow of materials to the organization to ensure that all aspects of the company needs are being met. This job will fill positions on 1st and 2nd shift in the Shipping Department at our Distribution Center.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

• Consignment inventory, location to location moves, & inventory adjustments.
• Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or within the facility.
• Responsible for the ongoing inventory accuracy of the facility. Notifies one of the following: Inventory Control, Shipping Lead & Shipping Supervisor when material control issues are discovered.
• Works with lead(s) during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements. Works as part of the Distribution team to ensure all requested material transfers are completed accurately in a timely manner.
• Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records.
• Participates in the continuous improvement of the distribution department.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What are the basic qualifications?

• HS Diploma/GED
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, or kneeling.
• Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).
• Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
