Builders FirstSource is seeking an entry-level Material Handler to support the movement and management of materials on site, learning processes and using material handling equipment. You will contribute to safe, efficient workflows and receive on-the-job training as part of a large construction materials network.

This role involves lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds, adhering to safety procedures, and participating in periodic safety meetings while supporting a production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials to optimize movement; lifts, carries, stacks items as needed.
• Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Responds to training from foreman or senior handlers to learn processes.
• Observes safety procedures and attends safety meetings; may suggest safety improvements.
