Job summary

Mac Fasteners Inc. is seeking a Material Handler 1 to manage the safe movement, storage, receipt, and shipment of materials in Ottawa KS. You will ensure accurate inventory, proper labeling, and timely delivery to production while following safety protocols.

The role requires on-site presence five days a week at the Ottawa, KS facility, with duties spanning receiving, staging, and shipping activities. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, and the position is hourly, full-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year experience in an office or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and basic documents.
• Basic math and measurement skills; ability to apply simple calculations.
• Proficiency with standard computer programs used in manufacturing and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials and verify against packing slips and PO docs.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and FIFO practices where applicable.
• Prepare materials for shipment and document movements.
