Job summary

York Space Systems is seeking a Materials Handler to ensure accurate movement, storage, and availability of materials for production on site in Greenwood Village, CO.

You will receive, inspect, store, and issue materials, maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts, and operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe, organized environment while collaborating with teammates to keep production flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred, including receiving.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and tracking systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certifications may be required).
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders.
• Store materials in designated locations and keep inventory accessible and organized.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and report discrepancies.
• Move materials to/from production lines and loading docks using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment based on work orders.
• Inspect materials for damage or defects and report issues to the supervisor.
• Complete documentation for receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions.
• Follow safety procedures and operate equipment responsibly in a safe environment.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris; dispose of waste properly.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support material flow and operations.
